Germany concerned about late removal of sanctions

TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (MNA) – German vice chancellor while stressing the efforts of Germany to lift Iran’s financial and banking sanctions, asserted that German companies were worried of time-consuming process of removing sanctions.

Sigmar Gabriel, who also serves as the German Minister for the Economy, said German companies were ready to cooperate and return to Iranian industries of water, electricity and energy.

Noting that Iran and Germany possess appropriate financial means to develop export and trade, the German official underlined that the relations still suffer from banking sanctions, removal of which depends on lifting the banking sanctions by the United Stares.

“Germany is trying hard to help remove the anti-Iran sanctions and the government is negotiating with German banks,” he added.

Gabriel is visiting Iran upon an invitation by Zangeneh to discuss promotion of Tehran-Berlin political, economic and trade cooperation.
